"SPIRIT OF GOBI" - 2022:
SUN OF THE PLACID WORLD
The third installment of the Spirit of Gobi Contemporary Art and Electronic Music Festival will be held under the theme of Sun of the Placid World on August 04-07.
This year’s concept Sun of the Placid World comes from the widely known traditional urtyn duu (long song) “Uyakhan Zambu Tivyn Nar”.
The concept allows for a broader survey of ideas such as Light, Energy, and Time through collaborations with artists.
The remarkable urtyn duu, born hundreds and thousands of years ago in Mongolia's vast steppes and gobi landscapes, carries the notions of the planet, earth, the universe, thus significant in connecting with the ethos of the Spirit of Gobi.
By associating with the notions of Light, Energy, and Time, the central concept and the festival programming encompasses the exploration of intellectual transformations and creativity through conceptual and spatial arts.
